Kapital's Century Denim project is based on unique sashiko denim fabric created using naturally dyed threads. It is a fabric that truly reflects Kapital's artisanal approach to fashion and clothing. This pant is cut from a lightweight sashiko denim woven on customised looms in Hiroshima. The fabric is spun using naturally Yeddo Hawthorn and mud dyed cotton and linen threads. Mud dyeing is a time-honoured dyeing technique native to Japan's Amami Oshima islands. The unique, iron rich mud of Amami Oshima results in the beautiful deep black brown shade reflected in these one-of-a-kind jeans.
