Meet leila, the soprano from palestine - one of 8 singing wooden dolls that make up the teenage engineering choir. Made from solid beech with an internal speaker module, each doll can perform pre-composed music or be controlled by midi keyboard, singing solo or with up to 15 of their fellow choral singers through ble signal.
Teenage Engineering choir is an ensemble of 8 wooden dolls, made to serenade you with a built-in repertoire of choral classics as well as perform your own original compositions through ble midi connection.
Each doll is handcrafted from beech wood and individually polished in hard wax oil. Inside is a speaker module that also includes the main processor and bluetooth low-energy transmitter. It is also rechargeable with 4 hours of performance time. At normal use (about 10 mins per day) the battery will last about a month. Based on different cultures and characters from across the world, every member has a unique look and vocal tonality. A single member can customize its vocal range to sing a dynamic solo performance, or 2-16 dolls, in any combination, can perform a full a cappella concert.
The choir includes a repertoire spanning baroque to folk. Alternatively, users can conduct the choir with OP–1 field, OP–Z, or any midi keyboard with ble midi functionality. The choir will instantly sing any notes you play.
Includes: One doll with removable speaker module inserted, user manual, USB-A to C cable.
